I Made You A Mixed Tape – is now open for viewing at the Corban Estate Arts Centre, in Henderson, Auckland. The opening went really well – thanks to all those who stopped by! It was great to see so many people are passionate about illustration. There are approx 20 artists in the exhibition and three rooms packed full of work to view and to purchase. I have a few of my explorers prints, more of the isles series and a new series about giants.

Thanks to Anne-Sophie and the Corban Estate crew for inviting me to be a part of it! The exhibition runs till the 4th of March so do have a look see if you get the chance.

Seen and Heard

personal work

The ‘Out There’ exhibition opening at RAMP gallery was great! – thanks to all those who stopped by to say hello. If you haven’t seen it yet the show is on till the 10th of August. There are a range of different works from past graduates of Mediarts,Wintec. My friend Gary Venn has some awesome giclee prints and Lynda Wilson had a great take on the recent royal wedding hat wear! Other friends/artists included Hannah Cleland’s delightful small hairy house,  Ani Fourie whymiscal painting style, and Jane Siddall’s beautiful embroidery works – these are just a few of the great works and artists on show. Do check it out!

Also on at present is an outdoor exhibition at the Waikato Museum called ‘Collected Fictions’ – which my fellow artist Lynda Wilson took part in – her work called ‘Bandits’ I think is one of my favourites to date! The minature artworks are displayed in what reminds me of a rabbit hutch structure with separate compartments to view each work. Totally worth a look through and is on display till the 21 August 2011.

Meanwhile lots going on at the moment for me with packing & moving house – planning the building of a new one, also heading back over the seas in a few weeks time so working on multiple tasks to complete before we leave.

This is a small spot illustration i made during the chaos of moving house..
