Finalist in the Vodafone Music Awards 2011

I am stoked to be a finalist in the 2011 Vodafone New Zealand Music - Technical Awards for my illustration on the cover of the Bannerman Album - 'The Dusty Dreamhole'!!  That album cover was such great fun to make - thanks again to Richie from Bannerman for the opportunity! Check out the amazing work of Nick Keller and Baly Gaudin & Thomas Young the other album cover finalists here

A Long Day

Its been a long week or at least it feels like it! Much to be excited about though, only five more days and we are off to Hong Kong once more followed by a wee bit of a holiday in europe! Cant wait!

Seen and Heard

The 'Out There' exhibition opening at RAMP gallery was great! - thanks to all those who stopped by to say hello. If you haven't seen it yet the show is on till the 10th of August. There are a range of different works from past graduates of Mediarts,Wintec. My friend Gary Venn has some awesome giclee prints and Lynda Wilson had a great take on the recent royal wedding hat wear! Other friends/artists included Hannah Cleland's delightful small hairy house,  Ani Fourie whymiscal painting style, and Jane Siddall's beautiful embroidery works - these are just a few of the great works and artists on show. Do check it out!

Also on at present is an outdoor exhibition at the Waikato Museum called 'Collected Fictions' - which my fellow artist Lynda Wilson took part in - her work called 'Bandits' I think is one of my favourites to date! The minature artworks are displayed in what reminds me of a rabbit hutch structure with separate compartments to view each work. Totally worth a look through and is on display till the 21 August 2011.

Meanwhile lots going on at the moment for me with packing & moving house - planning the building of a new one, also heading back over the seas in a few weeks time so working on multiple tasks to complete before we leave.

This is a small spot illustration i made during the chaos of moving house..

Urban Show Home

I recently completed a series of images promoting the new Show Home 'Serrano' for Urban Residential Developments. (Previously I had worked on there building portfolio). It was great to work with these guys once again and this show home is sure to leave jaws dropping. Its beautifully made and show cases a lot of great ideas - a hall way aquarium, stunning bathroom ideas and stone outdoor fireplaces to name a few.  Its open to the public this weekend so be sure to check it out if your in the neighborhood.
